Cognistat is pleased to announce a webinar which will introduce Cognistat Five, a new rapid test designed for the risk assessment of delirium, mild cognitive impairment and dementia in elderly patients.
Cognistat Five is a five minute version of the original Cognistat test and has a built-in expert system that provides a single digit output (0 to 6) as a risk estimate of mild cognitive impairment and dementia. It is an ideal tool for hospital intake and discharge assessments; is an effective tool for outpatient monitoring of the evolution of mild cognitive impairment or dementia over time and helps in the difficult task of distinguishing delirium from dementia.
Dr. Ralph Kiernan, is a San Francisco clinical neuropsychologist and one of the original developers of Cognistat. Dr. Kiernan specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients with mild traumatic brain injury and dementia.
This 30 minute on-line presentation is intended for physicians, psychologists and nurses and will cover the design rationale and administration of Cognistat Five.
There will be an opportunity for questions from attendees after the presentation.
