We are pleased to once again support the NAN student program by donating Cognistat Assessment System tests for raffle at the 2014 National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN) conference in Fajarto, Puerto Rico. This year we supported the NAN raffle by providing 2 prizes ($500 each). The raffle proceeds benefit NAN’s student programs.
Congratulations to this year’s raffle winners Dr. Phillip Lett, PhD and Dr. Karen J. Haskett, PhD. The winners of the raffle received Cognistat, a state of the art Cognitive Assessment Tool allowing them to test and aid patients with cognitive impairment.
About Cognistat:
Cognistat is a rapid screening tool used to identify people suffering from mild, moderate and severe cognitive impairment. An ever-increasing number of middle-aged and elderly people with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or the onset of dementia remains undiagnosed due to a lack of simple and effective tools. With time, mild cognitive impairment that is left untreated becomes full-blown dementia. Cognistat is a rapid cognitive-assessment tool used to screen and quantify neuropsychological problems across a broad spectrum of patients. Cognistat quickly assesses five major domains of cognitive functioning: orientation, attention, language, spatial skills (ie: construction), memory, calculation and reasoning.
About NAN:
The National Academy of Neuropsychology is a non-profit professional membership association for experts in the assessment and treatment of brain injuries and disorders. NAN members work in the most prestigious universities, hospitals and private practices throughout the world and are at the forefront of cutting-edge research and rehabilitation in the field of brain behavior relationships.
